The Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine is repsonsible for the overall treatment and co-ordination of each person’s medical care while they are a patient at the NRH.
Medical Registrars support the Medical Rehabilitation Consultants and, along with Senior House Doctors (SHOs), they provide patients’ day to day medical care.
The Consultants may refer patients to other Specialist Consultants, for example, Orthopaedics, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Radiology, Psychiatry and others.
The medical team will liaise with GPs, referring Consultants or other treating physicians regarding each person’s care as required.
